Faces in the crowd

She runs a store cum eatery in Hounslow, a London suburb infested with Asian populace. Niece of Vidhu Vinod Chopra, she belongs to the Berry film family from Delhi. The name of her store 'Jai Veeru' is however not a tribute to the iconic G P Sippy film but the nickname she and her friend (now her hubby) got in college, given their unbreakable Fevicol bond that made way for wedlock. Karya Mehtab, thanks to you and your girls for the warm hospitality and the sumptuous food.

I spotted this cheerful travel consultant in the mad rush at King's Cross junction. Given the manner in which Alex was greeting visitors and proactively guiding them on train routes, it was hardly a surprise that he hailed from Goa.
